The problem

Visitors become customers. Attribution doesn't survive the trip.

You run campaigns. People click, browse, leave, come back, and eventually convert. Somewhere in that path, the connection between “which channel earned this” and “who actually converted” gets lost — and it gets lost quietly, which is what makes it dangerous. Nobody gets an alert when attribution breaks. The CRM field just says “Direct,” and everyone downstream assumes that’s the truth.

Why attribution breaks

GA4, your CRM, and yourad platforms don't agree —and none of them are lying.

GA4

Analytics counts visits, not leads.

GA4 tells you traffic happened. It doesn't tell you which visit became the lead sitting in your CRM right now.

sessions: 12,480 · leads: ?
UTM

UTMs don't survive the journey.

A visitor clicks an ad, leaves, comes back three days later on a different device, and fills out your form. The campaign that earned them is gone — replaced by "Direct."

utm_campaign=brand-q3 → (direct)
ADS

Every platform reports its own version of the truth.

Google Ads says it drove the conversion. LinkedIn says the same thing. Your CRM says neither — it says Direct, because by the time the form was submitted, the evidence was already gone. They're not wrong; they just each only saw their own slice.

The cost

When attribution breaks, marketing decisions becomeguesses wearing a spreadsheet.

If you can't tell which channel is actually working, every budget decision — renew this campaign, cut that one, shift spend here — is a guess dressed up as a decision. The cost isn't abstract; it's the ad spend you keep putting behind a channel that looks fine because the alternative "looks worse" only because its wins aren't being counted.

42%
of leads on WordPress sites without dedicated attribution commonly arrive as “Direct” or “Unknown” — every point of that is a channel you can’t defend, and can’t double down on.

The solution

AttribuLead preservesattribution — and explains it.

AttribuLead classifies every visit into a channel the moment it happens, locks that source to the visitor so a later direct return doesn't erase it, and attaches a confidence score with the plain-language reason behind every decision. Not a black box: you can see exactly why AttribuLead decided what it decided, on every lead.

The first real source a visitor arrives with is the one that gets credit — by default, on every plan, for as long as you choose.

How it works

From first click to a decisionyou can actually defend.

The proof

Every lead arrives with its evidence.

Any form

Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, HubSpot forms, or any HTML form.

Runs natively inside WordPress. Nothing leaves your database.

No external API. No third-party processor. Attribution is captured, stored, and reported on your own server — a compliance answer most SaaS attribution tools structurally can’t give, because their business model requires your data to leave your site. The only outbound connection is the CRM sync you explicitly configure.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

No. Analytics tells you about traffic. AttribuLead preserves the attribution that connects traffic to actual leads in your CRM. They work side by side.
Free captures attribution and shows leads and channels with confidence scores, Source Lock, and observable AI referral recognition. Pro adds WooCommerce & EDD revenue attribution (orders, products, average order value, refunds), Advanced Traffic Intelligence, Attribution Health, and HubSpot lead sync with Sync Center.
Yes — on every plan, including Free. AttribuLead recognizes observable referrals from assistants like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity by their referrer, so AI-driven leads aren't miscounted as Direct. It reports only referrals it can actually observe.
In your own WordPress database, on your server. There is no external API and no third-party processor. The only outbound connection is the CRM sync you explicitly configure.
Yes. Consent-aware tracking modes, data retention controls and local storage make AttribuLead one of the most privacy-conservative ways to do lead attribution.
AttribuLead captures from Gravity Forms, Contact Form 7, HubSpot forms, and any HTML form. Pro syncs attributed leads to HubSpot with Sync Center; CSV export covers everything else.
